Airtel Pocket TV app for Android

Airtel Digital TV, the DTH service arm of Bharti Airtel has launched ‘Pocket TV’, a mobile app that enables customers to watch their favorite TV programs while on the move. It claims to serve as a library of video content at an affordable price.

The app promises to offer more than 150 Live TV channels, over 10,000 hours of video content and over 13 channels on anytime TV for an introductory pricing of just Rs 60 per month.

Users can download Airtel Digital TV app from the Google Play Store. It is compatible with all smartphones and tablets that run Android version 2.1 onwards. Airtel has planned to introduce the app on the iOS platform within one month, which will then be followed by other platforms.

Once the app is installed, customers need to activate the service by sending the SMS <ADD TV> to 54325 from their registered mobile number.

In February, Bharti Airtel announced to acquire Mumbai-based Loop Mobile, marking one of the biggest acquisitions in the Indian telecom sector. The deal is speculated to be around Rs 700 crore. As a part of the deal, Airtel will get around 3.2 million Loop subscribers, its retail outlets and about 400-500 cellular towers. Prior to the acquisition, Airtel had 4.1 million subscribers compared to Vodafone’s 6.8 million subscribers. Airtel now has around seven million subscribers, including Loop users. This means, it now becomes the leading telecom subscriber by surpassing Vodafone.

World's slimmest phone, Gionee Elife S5.

Gionee is all set to launch the world's slimmest smartphone, Gionee Elife S5.5 on March 31, in the Indian market. The company announced Gionee Elife S5.5 last month at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company has sent invites to the media for an event that will take place in Goa. 

Gionee Elife S5.5 sports a sleek metal frame with a thickness of 5.5mm and weighs 130gram . The phone features a 5-inch full-HD(1920 X 1080p) Super AMOLED Plus display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 

Powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM, Gionee S5.5 comes with 16GB internal storage and doesn't include a microSD card slot. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP 95 degree ultra-wide angle front-facing camera. 

The single-sim phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee's Amigo UI running on top. It has a 2,300mAh battery. 

Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Gionee Elife S5.5 comes in Black, White, Pink, Blue and Purple colour variants. The phone has been launched at 2,299RMB in China and we expect it to be priced around Rs 23,000 in India. 

Prior to the launch of the Gionee Elife S5.5, Vivo X3 was the slimmest smartphone in the world, sporting a thickness of 5.75mm. Huawei Ascend P6 is also one of the slimmest smartphones with a thickness of 6.18mm. Sony Xperia Z Ultra is 6.5mm thick.

Apple reaches 500 million iPhone sales

Apple's 500 millionth iPhone was just sold, marking a huge milestone for the Cupertino-based tech giant.

It's funny to think that Edward Snyder, an analyst at Charter Equity Research, said that there was no way Apple would sell 10 million iPhones in its first year. He was proven wrong, however, when Apple went on to sell 12.8 million of their iconic smartphones in 2008.

The rest is history, with sales making exponential increases throughout the years. Many analysts believe that the 600 million mark will be reached before the end of 2014. If reports of 5c price cuts are to be believed, then Apple should have no problem reaching that number.

Get Weather, Sports, Stocks cards from Google Now on desktop Chrome

For Android users, Google Now remains one of the best features on the platform, allowing users to search, perform actions and get instant updates in a variety of categories. And Google is actively adding new features to make Now a better product, not just in the US, but around the world too. The latest addition is aimed at integrating the same on desktop PCs.

Earlier last month Google had disclosed plans to bring Google Now to desktop, and now the company has kept its word. Google’s Chrome team announced via its Twitter account that Google Now is now available for desktop (i.e. not mobile) Chrome users.

The Google Now feature is accessible only by signing into Chrome with the same account that one uses on their Now account on Android or iOS. The feature can be accessed via the Windows, Mac and Chrome OS versions of the browser. The new update will display informative cards that appear on Android phones on your desktop browser. These cards provide information about weather, sports and other updates, depending on what you search. It will also display information related to your travel time to home or office, if you have saved the addresses. It remains to be seen how much of the mobile functionality has been retained in the desktop version.

Interestingly, if you are searching for something on the desktop, it reportedly also pops up a card on the phone too. Those who use multiple devices will need to manage the location settings for each of their devices separately. Some cards could be based on the location of your mobile device, so that may not always be useful.

In case you feel that you do not need any particular information, just dismiss the card, which helps Google understand what you find relevant and when. The service will currently be available only in English, but Google has plans to add other languages soon.

Those who do not want to use Google Now on desktop, but remain signed-in, can turn it off by clicking the bell icon – on the lower right corner of your computer screen for PCs or upper right corner for Mac  - and uncheck Google Now within the settings.

விவசாயிகள் அதிக அளவில் விளைச்சல் கிடைக்க பயிருக்கு, பேரூட்டச் சத்துகளான தழைச்சத்து, மணிச்சத்து, சாம்பல் சத்து மற்றும் இயற்கையில் கிடைக்கும் கார்பன், ஆக்சிஜன், ஹைட்ரஜன் சத்துகள், இரண்டாம் நிலை சத்துகளான கால்சியம், மக்னீசியம் சல்பர், நுண்ணூட்டச் சத்துகளான இரும்பு, துத்தநாகம், தாமிரம், போரான், மாங்கனீசு, மாலிப்டினம், குளோரின் போன்ற 16 வகையான சத்துகள் தேவை.  இச்சத்துகளை முழுமையாக பயிர்களுக்கு வழங்கி தகுந்த நேரத்தில் பயிர் பாதுகாப்பு முறைகளை மேற்கொண்டால் கூடுதல் மகசூல் பெறலாம்.

மண் மாதிரிகள் எடுக்கும் இடத்திலுள்ள சருகு, இலை, புல் போன்றவற்றை மேல் மண்ணை நீக்காமல் அப்புறப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
“வி’ (V) வடிவத்தில் மண்வெட்டியால் குழிவெட்டி, அந்த மண்ணை அப்புறப்படுத்தவேண்டும்.
