Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea)

Symptoms:
Both nymphs and adults suck the plant sap from the under surface of the leaves and cause yellowing of margins of leaflets and finally lead to hopper burn or drying of leaves. A heavy infestation of young plants can cause stunting and tip yellowing in leaves.

Management:

Maintain the fields and bunds free from weeds. Spray any one of the following insecticides like, phosalone 4D 10 kg, endosulfan 4D 10 kg, carbaryl 10 D 10 kg, fenitrothion 2D 10 kg, phosalone 35 EC 300 ml, dichlorvos 76 WSC 250 ml, monocrotophos 36WSC 200 ml, quinalphos 25EC 600 ml, penthoate 50EC 300 ml, phosphamidon 85 WSC 150 ml, chlorpyriphos 20EC 500 ml.
